SCRIP Program FAQ
What is SCRIP?
Scrip is simply a word that means “substitute money.” SCRIP includes gift certificates/cards from national and local retailers, the same ones you buy at the stores.
Which retailers participate in SCRIP?
Popular retailers that participate include: JCPenney, Gap, Pizza Hut, Shell, Red Lobster, American Express, AMC Theatres, Best Buy, Harry & David, Outback Steakhouse, Amazon.com, iTunes, Starbucks, Subway, Dunkin’ Donuts, Bath & Body Works and many more!
How can this program help raise money for TBE School?
It’s simple. These retailers sell gift certificates/cards to SCRIP in bulk quantities at a discount. Families - like yours - purchase gift certificates/cards for full face value (no more than you would normally spend for the gift certificates/cards if you purchased them at the stores). You (or whomever you gift the certificate/card to) redeems the gift certificate/card at full value. And then TBE School gets the difference!
How do I sign up?
Visit ShowWithScrip.com. Under “Family SignUp,” click “Create Account.” Enter your username of choice. Create and verify your password. Enter your account information. (Name of student and teacher is optional, but we encourage you to enter this info). Review and accept the user agreement and click “I accept” to continue. You will now be asked to choose and provide answers for two security questions. After those are submitted, you will be directed to a page where you will be asked to enter your non-profit Enrollment Code. TBE’s Enrollment Code is: L318DCE73L999.
How do I start shopping with SCRIP?
Click on “Family Home” on your side bar to start shopping. From the Family Home page, you can choose “Browse” to search the many categories and denominations of gifts that you can purchase, and choose from a variety of other options.
What are my payment options for my SCRIP purchases?
Presto Pay - Use your checking account to pay online - for just 15 cents an order. Click on Presto Pay on the left side bar and follow the instructions.
By Check - Place your order online and pay via check (made payable to TBE). Your SCRIP order will be released once we receive your check.
By Credit Card - SCRIP does not accept credit card payment - however, you may use your credit card through TBE - there is $100/4% minimum contribution for this service.
ScripNow - Use your PrestoPay account to order ScripNow, which allows you to print and use vouchers at home to use right away.
